“Grace And Peace To You…!”
In a world torn apart by ego and unbridled ambition it is rare to find someone writing as a duo the way Paul introduced his letter to the Christians in Philippi. “Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus…” Ours is a world where the “We” is swallowed up by the “I!”
Paul then continues, “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.”
Paul had confidence that “he who began the good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ…” And even in his chains, he could still say, “I have you in my heart…. all of you share in God’s grace with me”(1:1-11).
My friend, what confidence is in you about others? Do you have them in your heart that they too share in God’s grace? As we journey in faith let us intercede for one another so that we may all grow in love and “be able to discern what is best and… be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Christ…”
Prayer: Lord help me to discern what is best and fill me with the fruit of righteousness. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
