“Go And Do What You Have Read!”
“The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ…”(I Pt.4:7-11).
You see, a woman went to a “Native doctor”(medicine man) in search of a charm to cause her husband to love her. The medicine man told her he will need among other things the whiskers cut off a life lion. Though it was a difficult task, this woman used her cooking skills to use food and make friends with a lion in its den. She eventually cut some whiskers off the lion. When she brought it to the medicine man, the man was surprised that such a feat was possible.
The medicine man asked to know how she made it. When she recounted how she went about it, the medicine man told her, “Go and do likewise to your husband!”
My friend, today like the medicine man I tell you, Go and do likewise as the text says “so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen!”
Weekend prayer: Lord make me conscious of endtime, empty myself for others and to be genuine in my love of others. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
