“Fear Not; The Lord Is Your Travelling Companion!”
I woke up this morning with the song, “He walks with me everyday, he walks with me every hour, he walks with me every day of my life… I know Jesus, walks with me…”
If God is the one who has planned your destination be sure that he is with you all through the way. Even like the story of the “Footprints” when you see only one set of footprints you may think that in your difficult moments God had abandoned you. But just then he reminds you, “My son/daughter, the one set of footprints was mine; that was when you couldn’t walk and I had to carry you on my back.”
Keep this in mind that in all your difficult moments the Lord is with you. Remember that God did not say we won’t have stormy days, rather he assures us that Jesus Christ will be with us always till the end of time.
Just like he protected Israel of old, so too does he protect those who put their trust in him. In our difficult moments by day he is going ahead of us in a pillar of cloud to guide us through the stormy seas of life and by night in a pillar of fire to give us light during our dark moments so that nothing can stop us on our journey to the destination he has planned for us(Ex.13:20-22).
Yes; it is never as bad as it seems because the Lord neither leaves you nor abandon you in your predicaments. Tough times are merely speedbrakes to keep you out of harm’s way!
“Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night will leave its place in front of us!” He is Emmanuel – God with us!
