“Confidence In God’s Restoration Plan!”(Is.29:18-24).
I was glad when they said, “Come let us go to the house of the LORD.”
How are you appreciating the moment? Are you one of those who live in the past or who worry about the future?
A journalist once asked the Very Rev Jeremiah Chi Kangsen of blessed memory, “What is the future of the Church?” Kangsen’s reply: “The future of the Church is perfect because it is in God’s hand.”
God holds our future in his hands, and the plan he has for us is to prosper us and not destroy us.
It is never too broken that it can never be mended. When you get up in the morning, commit your day, your plan, and your life to the LORD. He has a plan for you.
One day, “the deaf will hear the words of the scroll, and out of gloom and darkness, the eyes of the blind will see. Once more, the humble will rejoice in the LORD, and the needy will rejohce in the Holy One…”
But there will be no peace for the wicked! “The ruthless will vanish, the mockers will dissappear, and all who have an eye foe evil will be cut down – those who with a word make someone out to be guilty, who ensnared the defender in court and with false testimony deprive the innocent if justice.”
God’s restoration promises is good news to the humble, the innocent, the oppressed, those deprived of justice, but above all, all who have put their trust in the LORD.
They shall all stand in awe of Godl. The “wayward in spirit will gain understanding, and those who complain will accept instruction.”
My friend, as we look up to the LORD for the consummation of his restoration promises already fulfilled in the Christ, let us live lives worthy of the sacrifices he made in order to restore us.
Sunday prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, our Hope is built on nothing less than your blood and righteousness. Amen!
Have a joyful day in the presence of the LORD! Peace be with you!
