“Believing Through The Testimony Of A Messenger!”(Jn.10:40-42).
Dear LORD, thank you for a new day. Take my hand in yours and be my pathfinder, directing my thoughts, words, and deeds.
“Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing in the early days. There he stayed, and many people came to him. They said, ‘Though John never performed a sign, all that John said about this man was true.’ And in that place, many believed in Jesus.”
The testimony of John is true to this day. We, too, like those people, also believe in Jesus. “We walk by faith not by sight.”
When from the pit of hell the dead the rich man pleaded with Abraham to send Lazarus to go warn his brothers about torments of hell, Abraham replied, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead”(Lk.16:19-31).
My friend, miracles do not convince people to believe in Jesus; only faith leads to believing in him.
By faith, we know that all that has been written about him is true. By faith, we have believed, and by faith, we know he will come again to Judge the world and reward each person commensurately.
Let us, therefore, run with perseverance the race that is set before us looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfector of our faith; knowing that our labours will not go in vain.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, strengthen our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour and coming Judge. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
