“Believe In Jesus Christ, God Is Truthful!”
The president of one of our social meetings just informed members that the meeting day has been moved to second Saturday instead of the first Saturday of the month. From another one which holds on first Friday of the month the president said the meeting has been moved to second Friday. Both communiques contained reminders of financial obligations including contribution for purchase of Christmas cow for 2021.
The first of January is just a date. Everything is business as usual. Come to think of it the only major change may just be the 1 replacing 0 in the calendar – 2021 and no longer 2020. Of course, we too have advanced in age, but like I said, it’s just numbers.
In our little corner we have named this the year of our favour because the Lord is with us. But God’s favour is not going to come our way if we fold our hands like those listening to the Sirens of Greek mythology. The greatest miracle that ever happens to humanity is vision, ingenuity and creativity brought to fruition through implementation by work!
God makes things possible for us through Jesus Christ. When we believe in him, then we certify that God is truthful
There is abundant life in Jesus Christ both in this life and in the life to come; just as there is God’s unending wrath caused by unbelief! (Jn.3:31-36).
My friend, God wants to make things happen in this world; beginning at your little corner. He wants to change the unfavourable stories of old to stoties of favour. As it is, he has no hands but yours, he has no feet but yours and he has no mouth but yours. Don’t fold your hands and sit unconcerned and ask, “Lord where are you?” No! It doesn’t work that way! Go to where God’s action is about to take place and speak and act in his name as the Spirit leads so that his favour will manifest on you and others. Maybe a door was rudely shut behind you last year by an enemy. That was in God’s plan as this year he is opening a door that leads to superfluity for you and through you!
Weekend prayer: Almighty God, I certify that you are truthful. Give me your Spirit without limit to bring me into my favour. Amen!
