“Be Strong In The Lord And In His Mighty Power!”
You must not always want to prove a point or to show that you have the power to crush somebody. Silence is not ignorance or stupidity. Those who take the back bench or play the fool are not cowards or weaklings. They have learned to leave the battle in God’s hands. Besides, you debase yourself when you condescend to fight the enemy on his terms by using the weapons he dictates!
Everything in this world is a replica of the original in the spiritual realm. The struggle is not “against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
That is why any physical combat ends in futility if we are not strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. To overcome the forces of evil is to “put on the whole armour of God which includes: standing firm on truth because truth shall prevail. Righteousness, because the righteous shall live by their faith. Readiness for action that comes from the gospel of peace.
Faith which rolls the mountains serves as a shield to extinguish the flaming arrows of the devil. Conviction of your salvation in Christ and the Spirit, which is the word of God.
When you are thus equipped, you become an overcomer! Of course, don’t forget to pray at all times(Eph. 6:10-18).
When you are thus equipped you wouldn’t mind those who can kill the flesh but have no power over your spirit!
Yes my friend, with these spiritual accoutrements we are more than conquerors! Therefore, “fear not” and “do not be afraid!” “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power!”
