“Bask In The Glory Of God: Depend On Grace And Walk In Truth!”
It is not only in African Indigenous religions that God is both immanent yet transcendent at the same time. John writes, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth…”
In the past God had revealed his presence (epiphanies) in diverse ways, including the law that was given through Moses. Unfortunately the law was not enough to save mankind because nobody, not even Moses could maintain the holiness by following the law; but “grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” Before Christ and even after him “no-one has ever seen God ” but Jesus Christ “God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.”
Jesus Christ has revealed the glory of God to us through the fulness of grace. What a “wonderfull grace, marvellous grace” and “undaunted grace!” To bask in the glory of God is to acknowledge that we are nothing without grace. Then in the fulness of that same grace we WILL be receiving “one blessing after another”(Jn.1:14-18).
The children hymn presents God’s presence so childlike easy, “God is always near me, Hearing what I say; Knowing all my thoughts and deeds, All my work and play. God is always near me, In the darkest night, He can see me just the same. As by midday light. God is always …”

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ thank you for sacrificing your life to reveal God’s grace and truth to me. Guide me to live in truth and with truth for you are truth incarnated. Amen!
