“Available For Refining And Purification!”(Mic.3:1-4).
Yesterday may be gone, but the future we often long for is a longing for the past. The future restoration we look forward to is actually a quest to regain “Paradise Lost.”
Such was the way prophet Micah considered the time of the LORD’S coming.
According to Micah, the present was unrefined and dirty. This filth was made worse because the Levites needed to be refined and purified as well. People were seeking God but not finding him. Micah offers these words of hope: “…suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple…”
The Lord comes “like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit like a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings…will be acceptable to the LORD, as in days gone by, as in former years.”
Dear friend, the Lord Jesus Christ comes like a refiner and purifier. Let us make ourselves available for him to refine and purify.
Prayer: Dear LORD, refine and purify us so that we can bring offerings in righteousness that will be acceptable to you as in days gone by. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
