“Almighty God, Say It And Let It Be So!”
We are soon to enter the church season of Advent. Advent is a period of four weeks ushering in the commemoration of the birth of Jesus who is the Christ. As we approach Advent, we begin to reflect meditatively on the awesomeness of God. This week will be centred on the wonders of his grace through creation.
In creation we see the Trinity active at work. God the Father “said, let there be…” When the word came out of his mouth in breath, action took place. So to say creatiin happened by God in his Word coming out in Breath.
What is unique of God’s nature as portrayed in the story of creation is the consistency of God’s spoken word being effected by beingness. And God said, ‘Let there be…’ And it was so…” (Gen.1:6-8).
What this means is that what God says he will do he surely does. God is consistent. He does not change. He does what he says should be. Wait on him and if he actually spoke to you or through you, then it must surely be. God’s word establishes his nature; he is truth. He matches word with action. And he expects us to do the same.
Prayer of the week: Heavenly Father say what you want should be to stop this bloodshed and let it be so. Amen!
Welcome back to a new working week and have a blessed day and week! Peace be with you!
