“Repent And Escape God’s Wrath!”
The people who brought in a woman caught in adultery were better than our generation. Their consciences were alert. When Jesus asked that the person without sin should cast the first stone at the woman, they all left without stoning her. On the contrary the letter to the Romans show that the Romans just like us had “deadened consciences!”
We pass judgment on others while we are guilty of doing the same things like the people we condemn. By such judgments we are in effect condemning ourselves. We feel safe that we are above judgment as if there’s anybody who is going to escape God’s judgment.
We should not take “the riches of God’s kindness, tolerance and patience” for granted! It gives us opportunity to repent!
My friend, this is a clarion call to repentance so as not to store wrath against self for “the day of God’s wrath.” When God reveals his righteous judgment he “will give to each person according to what he has done.”
To escape his wrath and anger let us not be self-seeking, let us not reject the truth, let us not follow evil. Be persistent in doing good, seeking glory, honour and immortality so that you and I will receive eternal life.
Yes, there is “glory, honour and peace for everyone who does good… For God does not show favouritism”(Rom.2:1-11).
Welcome back to a new working day. At your work place learn to be tolerant of one another for we each have a Chief Judge who has our case files!
Prayer: Lord lead me to seek eternity by doing good. Let me not pass judgment on others when I am as guilty as they are. Amen!
Have a blessed day and week! Peace be with you!
