“Make A Spiritual Preparation For Christmas!”
Old Testament prophetic utterances state four ways by which God uses to punish a disobedient people. These are: sword, famine, wild beasts and plague. Sword means judgment comes through wars. Wars may logically lead to famine or famine can be the result of some natural occurrences. Famine can also be caused by wild beasts that may decimate the working population. A plague in the form of an epidemic can also lower or destroy a booming population.
When God has set up his mind to bring judgement upon a country because of her sins and unfaithfulness to him, “even if these three men – Noah, Daniel and Job – were in it, they could only save themselves by their rigtheousness.”
The good news is that our God is a compassionate God who does nothing without a cause. Even when he sends the four dreadful judgments upon us, “there will be some survivors – sons and daughters who will be brought out of it. Through their conduct and their actions, there will be consolation”(Ez.14:12-23). Be spiritually prepared to be among the survivors!
My friend, Christmas commemoration is a reminder of the day God’s compassion was manifested through amazing grace. It is equally a reminder that the same who was born on Christmas died, was raised from the dead and will come again as Judge during endtime. Turn away from being unfaithful to God so that you would be among the survivors to inherit the kingdom. The righteousness of another person won’t save you, except you!
Prayer: Lord I thank you for your grace manifested through the birth of Jesus who became my Christ and reconciled me to you. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
