“Christ Is Coming With Hope; It Shall Be Well!”
In a discussion with a friend the other day, he told me that people have fled the North West region to the extent that even “Nkoh” has become “Internally Displaced” masquerade! You may laugh over it, but many palaces of the region are functioning without the Sacral Rulers.
We have become strangers in our homeland, patching and squeezing with relatives while our comfortable homes are in ruins. Yet we go about with our politics and religions as if nothing is happening!
Israel was is such a situation when the prophet Jeremiah promised them God’s hope. God promised them that he will raise up from “David’s line a righteous Branch, a king who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land…he will be called: The Lord of Righteousness.”
The Lord promised to bring them out of all the countries where he had banished them. Then they will live in their own land”(Jer.23:5-8).
Jesus Christ is the King Jeremiah predicted. In 2016 when we were bracing ourselves to receive this king, hell broke loose upon the land. In 2019 as we contemplate commemorating his coming, there is still no headway. We are still strangers to our homelands!
Today the Lord promises us that there is light at the end of the tunnel and we are almost getting towards the end of that tunnel. We shall live peacefully again in our own land!
Hope, joy, peace and love came down at Christmas! Let us act this hope, joy, peace and love in our acts and decisions towards others because the King we are expecting “will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land!”
Prayer: Thank you Lord for the assurance that we will live peacefully in our own land again. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
