“God Made Everything Beautiful For Your Good!”
I take delight as the cocks crow each night announcing the progress of time before day break. Soon I hear the squeaking of the birds in their different kinds of melodies.
As kids we often gathered around enjoying the moonlight nights as we sang and danced “mbolo mbolo” songs. All these things reveal to us how God made everything beautiful in his own good way.
The psalmist sums it up today by stating, “How many are your works O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.”(104:14-26).
Yes, God made everything beautiful in their way! Paul reminds us that there is no excuse for anybody “…since what may be known about him is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s visible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For though they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him…”(Rom.1:19-21).
No doubt that the biblical fool says it only in his heart that “There is no God”(Ps.14:1). But as we say in West African parlance, “God dey O! God is watching!” We are not going to ask like Dolly Paton, “Hello God are you there…?”
God is there and we continue to marvel in his works of grace through his creation, but above all through the incarnation of Jesus Christ our Lord!
Our confidence is that God is still on the throne!
Prayer: Awesome God I glorify and trust in you because in everything your plans are good to me. Amen!
