“The Sprit Of God And The Spirit Of The Antichrist!(Lk.11:14-26).
The Lord Jesus Christ drove out a demon from a man who had been mute and the man spoke to the amazement of the people. Some of the people said Jesus’ power was from the prince of demons. Others wanted from him a sign from heaven.
Jesus explained to them that “unity is strength!” And that “united we stand, divided we fall!” And this includes Satan’s kingdom too.
Satan cannot be the king of demons and gives power to one of his own to drive out demons from a person. A divided kingdom cannot stand, but we know that Satan wants his kingdom to stand.
Only an enemy would want to destroy another person’s stronghold. Jesus drives out demons by the power of God, indicating that the kingdom of God has come.
Satan has built a stronghold on earth, but the power of Jesus Christ has overpowered Satan and those who follow Christ are overcomers.
The battle between “Go(o)d” and “(D)evil” is one that does not require neutrality! You are either on the Lord’s side or you are on Satan’s side. The Lord explains non neutrality by saying, “He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters.”
It is not enough to rid one’s life of the devil, unless you have replaced him with Christ. If not, when the evil spirit goes around and does not find any new dwelling it comes back to its old house, cleaned and empty. It goes and bring seven other evil spirits which makes your condition worst.
Children of God are overcomers because he who is in them is greater than the one that is in the world.
My friend, we live in a spirit dominated world. Many false prophets are within the fold, but they are agents of the antichrist. John encourages us to “test the spirits to see whether they are from God…” And “this is how we recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God…” Any spirit contrary to this is the spirit of the antichrist.
Children of God are able to distinguish between the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood(I Jn.4:1-11). The Spirit of God leads us to this one truth: Obedience to the LORD!
The Lord Jesus Christ says, “Blessed…are those who hear the word of God and obey it”(Lk.11:28). Meanwhile the prophet says we are clay in the Potter’s hand. He can do with us as he wants and turn our blessings into woes if we disobey him.
Therefore he says, “Turn from your evil ways, each one of you, and reform your ways and your actions”(Jer.18:1-11).
Dear friend, there’s no doubt that when Christ died we were dead to sin and rose to new life with him. If since then you have not sinned by design or error, we praise God for you. But if you know you still sin by omission or commission, then this message is for you and I.
Our God is the good shepherd who is ever ready to receive his erring wandering sheep back into the fold. Therefore, return to the LORD!
Sunday prayer: Holy Spirit guide my feet away from presumptuous sins. Amen!
Have a blessed Sunday! Peace be with you!
