“We Are The Chosen Favoured Ones!”(Heb.2:4-11).
Through out this week we have been reflecting on “signs, wonders and various miracles,” and also about the gifts of the Holy Spirit which God has distributed “according to his will.”
We read how God restored king Hezekiah to health and added fifteen more years to hiis life span, we read how Elisha resuscitated a widow’s son, how the Lord Jesus Christ raised back to liffe the dead son of a widow and how Peter was miraculously freed from prison.
What God did and how he did it to those people has not changed. He can do anything for us because he loves us and has singled us amongst his creatures that to put everything under us. We are the chosen favoured ones. The LORD did this through the humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ; making him a little lower than angels so that he became like us.
By the grace of God the Lord Jesus Christ suffered death so that he might taste death for all of us, thus bringing us to glory so that we are now God’s chosen people.
May we enjoy this fellowship of familyhood in the household of God through obedience to his will and with contrite and repentant hearts.
Weekend prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for making us your brothers and sisters.
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
Rev Babila Fochang.
