“God’s Time Is ‘Just The Right Time’!”
It is common to see the word “prompt” accompanying the time we have fixed for an event. Those eho are time-conscious are said to be right on time. These are however related to chronological time. When we measure time by the clock we can say we are either on time, late or early.
God’s timing is rather “kairos time.” When we say “God’s time is the best, we are in effect acknowledging God’s kairos time – the right time.
God is always right on time. He is neither late nor early! Even the plan for our salvation was effected at just the right time. “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly…God demonstrates his own love for us in this. While we were still sinners Christ died for us.” God used his Son as a sacrifice to reconcile us who were his enemies. Much more than this we shall be saved through his life.
We have all the reasons to “rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation”(Rom.5:6-11).
Oh yes! God “reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation…God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconcilation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.” Having been reconciled to God in Christ makes us a new creation.(II Cor.5:17-21).
So therefore my dear friend, go out of your way in this season of Lent to be a true ambassador of Christ as you effect the message of reconciliation which was bequeathed to you! Keep in mind that God acts “at just the right time!”
Weekend prayer: Lord Jesus Christ thank you that through you I have been reconciled to the Father. Holy Spirit help me to be an ambassador of reconciliation. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
