“Just Be Ready For The Master’s Return!”
Time can be a very good friend if you keep pace with him. As good as he is, time is never on our side and time waits for no-one! As simple as he is, time is superior to all of us.
Time is a teacher of humility because he offers himself to the least and lowliest just as much as he does to the high and mighty. Time exposes all our weaknesses and strengths because he is long before us and will for a very long time be after us.
Time offers us the opportunity to bring magnificience and aesthetics to our imaginations through architectural designs. Other generations see our labours and admire, but time reveals that all beauty and magnificience are ephemeral. A time comes “when not one stone will be left on another; everyone of them will be thrown down.” We have come to learn of great magnificience of old only through archaeological finds.
Dear friend, make the best use of time now. Stop worrying yourself about when it will happen and the signs that will accompany them. If you keep worrying about when and how, charlatans will take advantage of your gullibility and claim that they are the Christ who has returned! Even wars and revolutions are not endtime signs, not even COVID-19! (Lk.21:5-9).
Besides, there is a sense in which the end comes to you at death. What is important in this life is that as you await the second coming of Jesus Christ prepare yourself to be found ready as a faithful and worthy servant who stays awake waiting for the master’s return.
Prayer: Holy Spirit take away from me the anxiety of endtime signs and build me with the readiness to receive the Redeemer at his second coming. Amen!
