“Satan Fall And Become The Footstool Of Christ!”
There was a time in Judaism when the doctrine of angels was a developing story. Even in the time of Jesus the two dominant religious groups had opposing views about angels. While the Pharisees believed in the existence of angels, the Sadducees did not.
It would have been necessary to define the place of Jesus among the angels. Heaven may be full of spiritual beings (angels), but only Jesus Christ reigns supreme. Angels or messengers as their name presupposes are errand boys.
The Sonship and Lordship of Jesus Christ is indisputable and noncontestible. To Christ God said, “sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”
The angels are “ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation” (Heb.1:7&13-14). This is to say saved humans are superior to angels. Pauls says we are going to judge the angels.
A saved person has a privileged position in heaven than an angel. Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY to the Father! He has assured those who are being saved that where he is, they too will be.
May the ministering spirits serve us by pulling down the dominating system which is causing havoc in this world! And as we await Christ to return to take us to be where he is, may we also be angels to one another as we work in our little ways to pull down the demonic structures that is holding us hostage!
Weekend prayer: Father Almighty, hasten the fall of Satan so that Jesus Christ can have a comfortable footstool for his feet. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
