“Trust And Obey The Lord!”
After selling Joseph to the merchants who were going to Egypt his brothers may have sat somewhere gloating in triumph. While in prison framed by Portifer’s wife Joseph might have thought that God had deceived him through the dreams he had.
But God works in mysterious ways. Joseph’s dreams was the final nail that caused his brothers to hate him to the point of selling him, but it was his power to interpret dreams that propelled him to fame and power.
God fulfilled his plans for Joseph by causing Pharaoh to have dreams. Joseph a prisoner interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams and was promoted from prison to the second highest personality in Egypt.
God would have revealed the dreams of future abundance and subsequent famine to the Jews, but he chose Pharaoh because Joseph was in Egypt. The dreams of Pharaoh was more about Joseph than it was about Pharaoh.
Having interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams, Joseph concluded, “And now let Pharaoh look for a discerning and wise man and put him in charge of the land of Egypt…”
On his part Pharaoh responded, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no-one so discerning and wise as you. You shall be incharge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your oders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.” Thus Joseph the sold slave who was at moment a prisoner was put “in charge of the whole land of Egypt” (Gen.41: 25-43).
My friend, your situation may seem to be your Egyptian prison, never mind. God has something big in store for you. Hold on to your dream. God has big plans for you; not for your welfare but to save lives through you, including the lives of those who rejoice that they have dealt with you. Your present situation is not the end of your story. God is still writing the sentence of your life. There is no final full stop yet! Keep trusting the Lord and obeying his words to you.
Prayer of the week: Lord let it be to me according to your will. Amen!
Welcome back to a new working week. Have a blessed day and week. Peace be with you!
