“God’s Love Reconciles Enemies Into Friends!” (Col.1:21-23).
Before you rush in for any product because you are carried away by an advert, do not fail to read the little print, “Terms and conditions apply.” Once you read this, do everything possible to read those terms and conditions!
Paul addresses us by extension through the letter to the Colossians (1:21-23). He wrote contending the heresies propagated by the Gnostics who were among the reconciled of God. They were within the church, but were preaching a different gospel other than “the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under earth…”
In our generation we may not be contending against Gnosticism, but we do have teachings that claim to be the gospel, but may not be the full gospel.
In his book, “The Challenge Of The Cults And New Religions…”(2001), Ron Rhodes considers that to talk about the cults is not intended to “curse the darkness” but rather “to light a candle in the midst of the darkness.” It is intended to save those who may not know that they are following a false gospel.
There are hundreds of thousands of cults in the world operating in the guise of being the gospel of Christ.
In Africa there are many places of worship where genuine seekers of Christ go to without knowing that in those places they are believing in a counterfeit gospel, believing in a counterfeit Jesus and are therefore believing in a counterfeit salvation.
In as much as there is freedom of religion everywhere, it is important for you to know where you belong and which gospel you believe in, whether it is that which you heard and which has been proclaimed to every creature under the earth.
My friend, in his love God has reconciled you, an enemy into a friend, through the blood of Jesus Christ to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation. But *terms and conditions apply: *”if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel” to believing in another gospel that does not reveal the full nature of the Son of God become man!*
There is no other name than the name of Jesus Christ the Son of God who in his earthly ministry was truly God and truly man.
Continue in your faith, established and firm and do not allow yourself to be tossed around by heresies!
Weekend prayer: Holy Spirit guide me to be established and firm, and not be moved from the hope held in the gospel. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!

“God Alone Knows!”(Job 38:31-38).There is no doubt that in this generation, some of the Divine questions posed to Job can be considered childish. Today’s generation
