“Lord Jesus, Remain My Teacher, Preacher And Healer!”
My New Testament teacher who opened my mind’s eyes to the deep truths of the gospels told us that the whole of Matthew’s gospel is an elaboration of Matthew 4:23: “Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.”
No doubt it is understood that Jesus’ presence is light as predicted by Isaiah years before Jesus came: “…the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned”(Mtt.4:15-16, cf. Is.9:2).
Teaching and preaching the good news of the kingdom brings healing to sin sick souls. I remember the song, “there is a balm in Gilead to heal the sin sick soul, there is a balm in Gilead to make the wounded whole…”
My friend, what is that sickness which you have been told cannot be healed? Invite Jesus to speak healing in your life and take away that sickness! What is that problem that has become a thorn in your flesh? Jesus is telling you now, “It is over!” Yes, with Jesus it is over because with Jesus every problem has an expiry date!
Invite Jesus to walk with you each step of the way and the devil will keep his distance away from you!
Prayer: Dear Jesus remain with me and be my teacher, preacher and healer. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you!
