“Be Anything And Win One Soul Today!”
The other day one of the presenters reminded us of an Akan proverb which says, one can never be a king and thereafter become a slave. In other words, once you have climbed, you should remain up! How sad this kind of thinking!
Today Paul is giving us an alternative which contradicts the Akan proverb above: “…I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” No evangelist is ever going to save the world, but each evangelist by becoming all things to all people can by all means save some.
Yesterday the Lord spoke to me of a higher calling. Paul confirms it this morning that one must stoop in other to conquer.
It is time to change the narrative by first being genuinely under the law of Christ before approaching those without the law as being without the law.
Most pastors operating in the troubled zones have told us how some of “the boys” were once their active and reliable christians. The questions to ask and answer are, “What happened?” “What kind of Christ did we preach?” Above all, “What did we say and what did they hear?”
My dear friend, it is time you become all things to all people so that by all means you can win some! The souls are out there waiting to be saved. It is not how large your congregation is or how much money you can raise! It is not the office you hold or how much power you wield, let us stoop to conquer! Let the presence of Christ be felt and violence would eventually melt away like heated wax! Do this for the gospel’s sake so as to be a partaker with others(I Cor.9:19-23).
Prayer: Holy Spirit lead me to be all things to all people so that I can win some for the kingdom. Above all, fill me so that I can win myself first by ignoring titles, positions and self-importance. Amen!
