“Arise, Shine, Your Light Has Come!”
On the first day of creation when God created the world, “the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep…” God the ordered for light “and thefe was light…and he separated light from darkness…” so that there was day and night(Gen.1:1-5).
Light is however used as an aphorism for good as opposed to evil – darkness. The world became dark (evil) when Adam and Eve prefered to listen to the tempted instead of to God (Gen.3:1ff).
The presence of Christ is Light that has come to dispel the darkness that engulfs humanity, but “men love darkness rather than the light.” Move away from darkness: witchcraft, sorcery, necromancy, palmistry, astrology, Ouija boards, Christian science, Odeshi power and principalities and powers whose physical manifestations are bloodshed, immorality, debauchery, hatred, selfcenteredness and lack of love for each other!
Children of God should walk out of the darkness because “the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” Yes, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you”(Is.60:1-6).
My friend, it is the beginning of a new year; it is also the beginning of a new dawn for you to arise and shine for your light has come! The day of mourning would soon be over as others come to your light! Keep shinning the light of Christ in a dark world and soon the dark minds of evil would succumb at the feet of Christ! Jesus says you are the light of the world; this means you are now his reflection! Let your light so shine so that people may see and give glory to your Father in heaven!Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
