“Come And Take The Free Gift Of The Water Of Life!”

A village mother visited the daughter in the city. One day as she stood by the roadside waiting for a cab, she became thirsty because the heat from the scorching sun was unbearable. Fortunately she saw a lady with water nearby. She asked the lady to give her some water to drink. The lady asked her whether she wanted a container worth 25frs, 50frs or 100frs. Mama was shocked! She couldn’t imagine this lady wanted her to buy water which God has given for free.
One of the curious sights you often come across in the townships are broken water pipes. Typical of our lackadaisical and nonchalant nature a broken pipe may remain broken for weeks before the water company comes to repair. What I often find interesting is that the population nearby rejoices at the long delay before repairs. You find crowds especially children flocking the place to fetch free water.
Water is life! I respect very much any person who offers a public tap to his neighbourhood for free; because water is life!
Whoever provides good drinking water to people is God-sent!
Even so, when we drink such water, we soon get thirsty again and again, ad infinitum.
There is someone who provides us water for free, although the worth of such water is priceless!
He says, “‘Come!’…Whoever is thirsty, let him come; whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.”
My friend, it is a free offer, it is a free gift, but it is your decision to take it or leave it! The choice is yours!
Jesus is the life refreshing water that whosoever drinks never thirsts again! Why would you delay to take what is offered for free and which lasts for ever?
All that is expected of you is for your container to be clean and sparkling because the water that is offered is clean and sparkling as well!
Come to Jesus and quench your thirst from everlasting to everlasting!
