“Jesus Says To You, ‘Receive What You Have Asked!'”
Many have lost great opportunities because they were not inquisitive enough to know what was happening around them. You are either informed to be reformed or you become deformed or remain and suffer in ignorance.
The existence of various communication media should keep us constantly in the know of what is happening around us. Where we do not know, we should ask others; otherwise golden opportunities which would have benefited us would slide by. The moment you are informed, if you realise there is some good in it for you, then sieze the opportunity and act!
That is what happened to a blind begger close to Jericho. He heard a crowd going by, so he asked to know what was happening. They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” “He called out, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!'” He was rebuked and told to be quiet, “but he shouted all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!'” If you want to receive from Jesus Christ you must breach unnecessary protocols! You have direct access to Jesus through the Holy Spirit in prayer.
As it is, nobody is insignificant before Jesus. He is interested in everybody; even the ones like the blind whose identity tag is the name of his illness. So “Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him.” He asked what the man wanted from him? The man replied, “Lord I want to see.” And that is what Jesus did for him! Jesus said, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”
When he received his sight, he followed Jesus, praising God…”(Lk.18:35-43).
My friend, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Just try to know what is happening around you, so that you do not allow Jesus pass by without you knowing!
Ignore the overzealous crowd as you shout out to Jesus to do for you what you want from him! When you have received, remain with him praising God!
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, my solution provider, I will follow you wherever you go, praising God because I’m freed from spiritual blindness. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
