“The Incomparable Holy One!”(Is.40:18-26).
What is said is said, just as what has been written has been written. Most times it is said before it is written. Some of us remember that somebody once said that what has been declared “not even God can change it.” History informs us of the prince who said, “It is law because I will it,” and another one said, “I am the state!”
The peak in mockery that Christians have received over and over is “Let that your God solve your problem for you,.”…
The biblical fool is a wise fool because he only said it in his heart that “there is not God,” but the foolish fools voice it out everywhere that there is no God.
Idolatory is a denial of the omnipotence of the LORD, the Creator of the world and everything that is in it, and all who live therein.
There may be a few exceptions, otherwise all peoples of all cultures and languages know God because they call him by name in theur mother-tongue. God did not leave himself without witness.
The example of Africa is that missionaries did not bring God to Africa. God brought them to Africa to help Africans to name Christ. Africans may have approached God the wrong way because Christ was not known.
There is no image that we can compare God to. An idol is the work of a craftsman. The king of Babylon considered that Bel was a great God because of the large quantities of food and drinks he consumed each day. Daniel proved him wrong that an idol can neither eat nor drink,
To prove this the king ordered for larger quantities of food and drinks to be served to the god. He sealed the door with his own seal. But before he did that Daniel sprinkled ash on the floor of the temple. The following day the king accompanied by Daniel broke the seal and behold; the food and drinks had been consumed. Daniel drew the king’s attention to the floor. There were foitprints of men, women and children. When the priests were summoned and queried they revealed the secret entrance thriugh which every night they entered with their wives and children to consume the food and drinks.
The LORD neither eats nor drinks because he is the Source. Even the kings who think they are the law have been placed there by him for as long as he wants to. “He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing…”
We cannot compare the LORD to anything! He has shown us the right way: the way of Grsce as we submit to his will in humble acknowledgement of his Divine Sovereignty.
Dear friend, it was about 5pm yesterday when the guns rattled all around us as if hell was on rampage. My granddaughter jumped on the bed and covered herself with the blanket. I told her not to be afraid. She told me, “Grandpa, I’m not afraid because God is protecting us.” My heart melted and at that moment my faith in the LORD increased. We cannot compare him to anything. Hallelujah!
Prayer: LORD bless us and keep us. Make your face to shine upon us and be gracious to us. Look kindly on us and give us peace. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
