“Small Noh Be Sick!”(Mi.5:2-5)[27/12/2024].
There is this Chinese balm called “Essential balm.” Due to the smallness of its container, my people have nicknamed it, “Small noh be sick.” A direct translation will be that “smallness is not sickness.” In other words, “size is not a determinant of strength.” To this end, the ancients warned that “The tiger broke its leg in the hole of a cricket.”
The Super Negroe Bantu orchestra of yesteryear echoed this to say, “Do not think you have power just because you are fat,” and “do not judge a person by the way you see him.”
In fact, we should not judge a book through its cover. Most times, the cover is just to push a brand, but nothing to offer as content.
If power and knowledge was by size, the tortoise would not have won a contest of the animal that was able to ride the elephant as a horse in full majesty to the King’s plaza for a public feast -(story for another day for itchy ears).
Dear friend, (and let me apologise to those who are irritated for my calling you friend. Even if you are a monitoring spirit, you either signed in here as a friend or a follower or a member of the same group. “A be e choke?”
The King of Kings, Immanuel, Yoshu’a, Messiah, etc, came small and in a small way and from a small place. But he came to be who he is! Jerusalem in Ephrathah was small among the clans of Judah, but from there came one who is the ruler of the world. Oh yes, “Small noh be sick!”
Never see yourself as of lowly status. You are going to become what God says you will be. Just wait on God’s appointed time.
Weekend prayer: LORD, thank you for giving privileged positions to the nobodies. Amen!
Have a blessed weekend! Peace be with you! Merry Christmas and a happy new year 2025.
Rev Babila Fochang.
