“No Surprises!”(I Th.5:1-4).
November and December are the months of worst nightmares to some Treasurers of Tontins and Thrift and Loan meetings, and also to some of those who took loans from such meetings. The nightmare is because this period seems to take them unaware; but it shouldn’t be so!
The mundane man is hardly prepared – even for things for which they were informed well ahead of time. This cliché is still useful: “Make hay while the sun shines.”
The day you first believed in the Lord Jesus Christ is the day you made the undeclared submission that you will never be taken unawares; especially when it concerns the day of the Lord.
Secular people are easily swept off their feet by the alluring enticements of the material accoutrement of the secular world; but it is not so for the chosen children of Light.
Children of Light know the unpredictability of the coming of the Lord, but they are well prepared for it so that it cannot take them by surprise!
My friend, for each new day of your life, be thankful to the LORD. Live each day as if it is a bonus from the LORD. Wait for the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ with all readiness. And when the day shall dawn upon us from on high you will be fully prepared to meet the Lord and recieve him without trepidation.
Prayer of the day and week: Holy Spirit help us to be alert and ready for the Second Coming of Christ. Amen!
Welcome back to a new working day and week! Have a blessed day and week!
Peace be with you!
Rev Babila Fochang.
