“God Has Made You “A Chop Chair” – An Heir!”
For the incarnation to happen and be fully comprehended in human terms, all righteousness had to be fulfilled. For God, things happen at the appropriate moment. God sent his Son to be born by a woman, – even though the woman was conceived of the Holy Spirit – to redeem those under the law. This Son was born under the law to enable us receive the full rights of sons.
A son carries himself differently from slaves. Now that we are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts and this is why we call God “Father.”
The success story concerning the rapid spread of Christianity is its appeal to the underprivileged, the “nobodies” and slaves. We can understand how Christianity in Cameroon for instance was introduced by Jamaican freed slaves. They considered that the people of their ancestral lands should also be part of what they had gained through the gospel.
This appeal to Christianity by the underprivileged is because each person is given the assurance, “you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.”
While this appeals to slaves first because in Christ they have their freedom, the message is for everyone who believes. When we did not know God, we were slaves to those who by nature are not gods…”
My friend, in God’s plan things happen only when “the time has fully come”(Gal.4:4-8). When the time fully comes, whatever God does is for your good and others. Through Jesus Christ you are now an heir of royalty! Praise God for this wonderful gift of Christmas and purify your heart to be worthy of such honour!
Prayer of the week: Father thank you for sending the Spirit of your Son into my heart and for making me an heir. Amen!
Welcome back to a new working week. Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
