“Do Not Be Afraid Of The Waves, Christ Is In Your Boat!”(Mk.4:35-41).
We often find ourselves in the midst of raging storms which threaten to swamp our boat of life. The danger of perishing become so real, and like the disciples we come to Jesus with forlorn hope and ask, “Lord, don’t you mind if we drown?”
Such a question is born out of little faith because as long as Jesus is in the boat, the waves cannot prevail against the boat. Indeed, it is lack of faith to think that Jesus can allow himself to drown. Keep a closer walk with Jesus and you will smile at all the storms that rage and rave! When you keep a closer walk with Jesus he will always be there to rebuke the wind and say to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!”
Therefore my friend, let the Lord be your boon companion and you will smile at any stormy wave that wants to swamp your boat. Do not be afraid. Rather smile at every storm because the Saviour is “with you always, to the end of the age.”
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ arise and calm any furious waves that threaten to drown us. Amen!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!
Rev Babila Fochang.
